First thing this morning, Gianni had to be taken to the veterinarian! His eyes have been bothering him for a few days so Kathy and Warren drove 40 miles to the emergency clinic. Good news, it wasn't anything serious, he has "dry eye", just like Jim. Wonder if they can use the same medication!
Oh, while all that was happening, something went wrong with our Jeep battery. The car just stops working on it's own. Jim's been trying to get answers from Santa Monica Jeep, and Jeep roadside assistance, but he will probably solve the problem by asking his buddy, Mr. Google. This is a picture of our coach at site 19 between the trees.
Okay, so what about Old Town Florence? Well, at about 1:00 the humans decided to drive to the fishing village on the Suislaw River for some shopping. There were a few touristy shops to wander through, but due to Covid the shops didn't have much to sell. All the suppliers aren't supplying so it didn't take long to see everything. They even had an early dinner at Moe's on the dock, but the menu was so limited that it was a big disappointment.
Warren and Kathe stopped at Novelli's Crab and Seafood Stand for fresh crab. This place has been a mainstay in Florence forever, and everyone stops here for the crab and award winning crab chowder. We were so sad to learn that the owners died last night in a boating accident. People here are devastated at the loss.
