GRAND CANYON

The big excursion today was to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Yellowstone Lake. It was another very long drive from our  campground, but a wonderful experience.  Of course this was not a trip for us doggies!

There were several short hikes and lookout points to visit. Each new view was more fantastic than the last. Pictures just don't do the splendor justice. Kathy T is the only one who has an actual camera, everyone else used their cell phones, and battled the crowds for the space at the rim of the canyon.  Of course there were hundreds of tourists and lots of parking issues, but worth everything just to see  the magnificent grandeur of this canyon.

Tomorrow is our last day here in West Yellowstone and we're going to take it easy.  I think that they have seen every corner of the Park and driven hundreds of miles doing so.  Going to take advantage of the festivities in town for the 4th of July.  I'm hoping that the fireworks get rained out.
