We just left the Millersylvania State Park after two days of glorious peace and quiet. No cell service, no Internet, and best of all, NO FIREWORKS!
We had a beautiful site with lots of real estate. Sixty to seventy foot high fir trees and 8.5 miles of hiking and biking trails. We hiked and chased chipmunks by day and slept in till 10:00 both mornings! My kind of camping! This is a picture of our campsite looking up into the trees.
One very cool thing that happened in Millersylvania was that the Washington National Guard Dixieland Band stopped to perform on Saturday. They were on a tour of all the State Parks. We sat on the lawn in the sun and listened to them with the other campers.
This morning we traveled up to Tacoma and then across the Narrows Bridge to Gig Harbor. This picture was taken out the windshield. Our RV resort is very nice and there are lots of things to do here. I have already been out twice chasing rabbits. Tonight Kathe and Jim are going to a restaurant on the water to celebrate his 68th
birthday.
